More on meI was only a tiny nine-year-old with bangs when my byline first appeared in print.
In my story for "The Illinois Snowmobiler," I wrote about everything relating to my less than a decade of life: snowmobiling with my family, fishing every summer in northern Wisconsin with my grandpa, being a Girl Scout and how, when I grew up, I wanted to be a journalist. Over 10 years later, I'm well on my way. Now, I have experience in sports, A&E and news journalism across multiple mediums like print, online, television and radio. I also have knowledge in photography and design. I'll graduate early from Marquette University in December 2022 with a bachelor's degree in journalism as well as minors in digital media and creative writing English. At Becker's Healthcare, I serve in a part-time editorial position. I recruit industry leaders for their national events, write and produce two daily news briefs for their clinical leadership and behavioral health podcasts as well as create custom client content. At the Marquette Wire, the independent student media, I serve as the content coach, the newest position for our publication. Four nights a week, I'm in our newsroom to fact-check stories and mentor novice reporters. I do everything for the tiny nine year old with dreams bigger than herself. |
